Early voting in Latvia's local elections resumes June 3

 Early voting in the local government elections resumes Thursday, June 3, according to the Central Election Commission (CVK).

731 polling stations throughout the country will be open from 9:00 to 16:00.

On Friday, June 4, polling stations will be open from 13:00 to 20:00. On the official day of local elections, June 5, polling stations will be open from 7:00 to 20:00.

On Monday, which was the first day of early voting, 15,614 people, or 1.66% of all voters, came to cast their votes.

This year, local elections in Latvia are taking place in 39 municipalities - six cities and 33 regions. There will be no elections in Riga this year because the capital city's council was already elected last year.
