At the government's Tuesday meeting, the main issue will be whether the restrictions, currently set until January 11, should continue the way they are, whether something should be changed, and how long they should last, the PM said.
In his opinion, the restrictions should be extended, but at the same time there could be some improvement or clarification in the existing framework.
Karins noted that the government shouldn't make rapid changes to conditions, otherwise the public may not understand them and the goal may not be reached.
The state of emergency in Latvia has been set until February 7.
