A Finance Ministry infographic approved by the cabinet envisages that process will start in mid-April, and that by the end of June the main priority areas and their financial costs will be established.
Then in early October detailed budget plans and costings will be published, with the cabinet set to agree the full budget package in principle on October 11.
After that, things get a little bit more vague with a period of around two weeks allotted for further tinkering. Then the budget will be turned over to the Saeima for debate, though a date for this is not given.
