MP Liepiņa to leave KPV LV faction and party over presidential vote

Take note – story published 4 years ago

Latvian MP Linda Liepiņa is to leave KPV LV party and parliamentary faction.

Liepiņa told LETA that she has filed an application to that end, and in the future will work as an independent lawmaker.

Her decision is related with the latest development in the factions, and the recent faction’s vote on the presidential candidates, she said.

KPV LV faction had 15 lawmakers, but just four of them voted for the present government and are part of the coalition.
