JKP and KPV LV will respond on Monday, May 17, whether they are prepared to seek solutions in relation to change of the proportion of ministers advanced by each party.
Kariņš said that any changes require the agreement of all the coalition partners. He noted that all coalition partners at the meeting expressed their readiness to work together to keep the country out of the crisis and work on reforms.
"We are in a situation where a member of the coalition party is removed from office, the KPV LV comes with an independent candidate for the post of minister, then the question arises as to how we will organize the work of the coalition”, said Kaspars Gerhards (NA), Agriculture Minister, currently taking the temporary post of Economics Minister while a new minister is elected.
