News agency: Abe to visit Baltics in January

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is scheduled to visit six European countries in mid-January, with the three Baltic states also included in the tour, Japanese news agency Kyodo reported, citing sources in the Japanese government.

According to the Kyodo report, Abe will travel to Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, as well as Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia.

During his visit to Estonia, Abe will sign a bilateral Estonian-Japanese agreement on cybersecurity cooperation, the Japanese news agency said.

As reported, Latvian Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis (Greens/Farmers) made a visit to Japan this month.
