Three months after the October 1 Saeima elections, the party that received the most votes, New Unity (JV), has seen a drop in its political ratings, Latvian Television reports.

Meanwhile, the popularity of opposition parties Stability! (S!) and the Union of Greens and Farmers (ZZS) has risen.

If the Saeima elections were held tomorrow, according to the data of the SKDS survey, New Unity would receive 12 percent of the vote, which is 3.3 percentage points less than in November. The second most popular party according to the December survey is the Union of Greens and Farmers - 11.4 percent, which is 1.9 percentage points more than the previous month.

Another opposition party, the Progressives (P) is now the third most popular party in Latvia with 7.6 percent support, followed by the National Alliance (NA) on 7.2 percent, and the United List (AS) - 6.6 percent.

Meanwhile, Stability! has seen an 1.4 percentage point increase in popularity despite being involved in several controversies, and its support is at 5.8 percent in December.

If the elections were held tomorrow, 10.6 percent said that they would not bother to vote, while 20.1 percent said that they do not know who they would vote for.

The SKDS survey was held in December, questioning 1,785 Latvian citizens throughout the country.
