President Levits will head to Davos for World Economic Forum

It was confirmed January 13 that from January 16-20, Latvian President Egils Levits will participate in the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Levits has been invited to speak in a discussion on strengthening democratic systems in the future and in several discussions devoted to Ukrainian issues, for example, the creation of a special international tribunal to investigate Russia's aggression, and the restoration of international order. The President will also speak about geopolitical security issues and security aspects in the digital age, among other things.

During his working visit to the Swiss resort, the President is also scheduled to have bilateral meetings with the leaders of several other countries, including Switzerland and Azerbaijan.
