Sabīne Šņepste, Executive Director of Daugavpils Municipality, was next in line for a seat in the Saeima, but she declined. The next candidate on the Latvia First list after Šņepste is Ilze Stobova, who will accept the mandate, the politician confirmed to LETA.
According to information on the Latvia First party's website, Stobova holds a master's degree in political science and education management, and a bachelor's degree in social work and social pedagogy. Her first professional training was in medicine, as a nurse.
Stobova is Krištopans' assistant in the Saeima, according to information on the parliament's website. She is also a teacher at the Valdis Zālītis Primary School in Riga.
In 2009, Stobova headed the office of Riga Mayor Nils Ušakovs (Harmony).
Stobova ran on the Latvia First list in both the Saeima and European Parliament elections.
