On Saturday, May 18, State Police officers were on patrol when they noticed a moped rider in road traffic without a protective helmet or registration plate. The law enforcement officers made several requests to stop the vehicle, but the moped driver started to flee.
The escape ended with the moped driver falling off and being arrested. He was found to be heavily under the influence of alcohol and apart from fleeing and driving under the influence of alcohol, the man violated a number of other road traffic rules – eight administrative violation proceedings were initiated in total.
