Corruption cops examine possible information leak

The Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) has sent a case to the prosecutor in which evidence was obtained that an official of the National Health Service (NVD) disclosed restricted access information, the KNAB said December 27.

Evidence obtained during the pre-trial investigation shows that an official of the NVD sent to a natural person a draft of the NVD Procurement Law and Annex, which before the actual announcement of the procurement is restricted access information and which is prohibited from being distributed to third parties.

The procurement in question relates to the maintenance of the eHealth system.

The KNAB commenced criminal proceedings on May 23 2023 and investigated the disclosure of restricted information for which liability is provided for in Section 329 of the Criminal Law. Currently, the prosecution must decide on the future direction of the criminal case.
