The State Police has started a departmental investigation into a video published on social networks, which shows a man cursing in Russian against participants of the military training cycle "Namejs 2022", the LETA news agency reports.

In the video, the man addresses the participants in Russian for the fact that the training is taking place in the city and told them to go back to their training ranges. Women who were nearby also chipped in, complaining that soon the soldiers would want to train in their apartments.

According to LETA, the incident took place at the intersection of Lāpstu Street and Ziemeku Street in the Sarkandaugava suburb of Rīga.

It has already been reported that the autumn phase of the military training cycle "Namejs 2022" took place over the weekend in Rīga, during which the army conducted exercises in public spaces.

The military training cycle "Namejs" has been taking place throughout Latvia since 2014. Also in previous years, national guardsmen and soldiers have performed various practical exercises on the streets of the capital.
