Latvian 'Red Fox' sniper wounded in Ukraine

A volunteer sniper from Latvia, nicknamed Red Fox, has been injured on the front in Ukraine, according to the aid association's 'SOS palīdzība Ukrainas armijai' entry on social media on Sunday.

"I just came from the front. I lost a very good friend from Czechia. We were driving on the front together and a 120 mm round hit us," says the Facebook post.

According to the entry, the sniper has "light injuries" such as "four holes in the left arm and two in the ribs". He has been taken to the hospital and writes that he plans to return to the front in a couple of days. 

The Latvian volunteer soldier 'Red Fox' has been interviewed several times on Latvian and Ukrainian media. Just days ago, LSM published an interview with Latvian Radio, on his actions since first arriving in Ukraine at the start of the war.
