Since the announcement of the state of emergency on the Latvia-Belarus border August 10, the Border Guard has prevented 4,596 persons from crossing the border.
One person was detained having crossed the border illegally. The border guard allowed this person in on humanitarian grounds.
Since the announcement of the state of the emergency, 104 people have been allowed to cross the border citing humanitarian reasons.
