50 tried to cross Latvia-Belarus border overnight

On Tuesday, February 1, the border guard prevented 50 people from crossing the Latvian-Belarusian border, the exact same figure as Wednesday.

Since the announcement of the state of emergency on the Latvia-Belarus border August 10, 2021, the Border Guard has prevented 5,556 persons from crossing the border.

No persons were detained for illegal border crossing.

Since the announcement of the state of the emergency, 113 people have been allowed to cross the border citing humanitarian reasons.
