"The soldiers of the battlegroups of NATO's enhanced presence in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia will conduct engineering exercises and demonstrations of capabilities during the training," advance notice said.
The multinational battle group in Latvia is led by Canada and consists of more than 1,700 soldiers from Albania, the Czech Republic, Italy, Iceland, Canada, Montenegro, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and North Macedonia, who are on duty in Latvia on a rotating basis, participating in exercises with Latvia's own National Armed Forcest.
The leading country of the battle group of NATO's enhanced presence in Lithuania is Germany and in Estonia it is Great Britain.
The attention of loca residents is drawn to the fact that during the military exercise, there may be temporary road traffic disturbances on the public roads around the Ādaži military ranges. The national armed forces call for an understanding approach to the military exercises taking place in Latvia, which are aimed at strengthening the country's national defense and NATO's collective security.
