Defense Ministry orders anti-tank ammo worth €4m from Sweden

The Defense Ministry has ordered €4m worth of anti-tank munitions from Sweden's SAAB Dynamics AB for its Swedish-made "Carl Gustav" anti-tank weapons, the ministry told the press May 21.

The delivery of the anti-tank munition is expected later this year.

Last year, Latvia made a similar purchase worth €16 million

Back in 2014, Latvia ordered 800 Carl Gustavs from Norway for the bargain price of €4m, as we reported at the time.

The Carl Gustav recoilless rifle system, is a widely used weapon against armored targets. Renowned for its reliability and ease of fire, it is in the armories of several NATO member states.
