The three officers were reported to be from the Royal Artillery regiment, and the "altercation" resulted in two officers being detained for a couple of hours and one being pepper sprayed after a "boozy night out" the newspaper reported under the headline "Operation Hammered" which cites only "defense sources."
They had been participating in a training exercise called "Furious Hammer" and appear to have taken the name to heart on a night out.
Furious Hammer is still ongoing, taking place from April 18 to April 30, and involving the UK-led battle group based in Estonia along with Estonian, Danish, French and Latvian forces, with 500 military personnel participating.
The three were returned to base by Latvian and Canadian military police, the newspaper said.
