Take note – story published 1 year ago

On Tuesday, July 18, university applicants could start submitting their applications in person. Online applications are also ongoing. The Ministry of Education and Science (IZM) invites future students to look at the Higher Education Programme Graduate Monitoring Tool, which contains information on the success of graduates in the labor market.

The aim of the tool is to ensure the availability of information on the employment and income of people who have obtained higher education. It provides information on the results of graduates in the labor market.

The Graduate Monitoring Tool includes information about graduates from 2017 to 2020.

The data available in the tool are administrative data collected as a result of the exchange of data available in the national registers, Sigita Busule, head of the IZM Information Technology Department services, told Latvian Radio.

The Higher Education Program Graduate Monitoring Tool is available here (currently in Latvian only).

The “Employment” section of the tool contains information on the level of employment of higher education graduates and the proportion of graduates employed in highly qualified professions, while in the “Business” section contains information about graduates who founded companies. On the other hand, the “Income” section summarizes information on the income of graduates by thematic group, area, and level of study.
