Take note – story published 2 years ago

What does it mean to be a teacher in 2022? What are the challenges facing the profession, and how are approaches to the work of today's teachers changing?

These questions and other issues will be on the agenda at a March 29 conference "Being a teacher in 2022: technologies, tools, approaches" being organized by the Exupery International School in cooperation with the University of Latvia and Georgia Institute of Technology (U.S.).

The conference will be conducted both online and on-site at the school’s premises in Pinķi, Latvia and there is no fee for participation but it is necessary to fill in a form which can be found here: https://ej.uz/teacher2022.

The working language of the conference is English or other if the focus is on the methodology of the language subject.

"The aim of the Conference is to share the professional approaches in didactics and methodology in the framework of the subject groups (Languages, Humanities, Mathematics, Arts, Sport and health, Sciences, Preschool, Interdisciplinary). The Conference is an opportunity for faculty, staff, and community members to share their work across discipline and program and to learn more about a variety of topics. For teachers, this is a valuable opportunity to present their experience in didactics and methodology in the learning process," say the organizers.

Only registered participants are to have access to the seminar. Teaching staff and school community members are welcome to apply as listeners as well. All participants will also receive a certificate of participation via email.

"Every teacher, staff, and school community member is welcome to attend this seminar. Applicants are welcome to invite friends and family to this seminar. Let us build on tradition and create a new one in the spirit of collaboration and life-long learning," the organizers say.
