Rīga 1st Gymnasium falls from 30-year-long leader role in school rating

Atis Kronvalds foundation has published the latest rankings of Latvian schools, in which the Rīga State Gymnasium No. 1 has lost its leading position which it had retained for the past 30 years, LETA reported August 24.

 The Latvian School rating of the Atis Kronvalds Foundation summarizes the performance of pupils in various olympiads and research conferences.

2020/2021 annual school ranking includes 20 public gymnasium schools, 33 “big” schools and 34 “small” schools.

In the group of State gymnasiums, the rankings are historical, as the leader for the past 30 years - Rīga State Gymnasium No. 1 - has slipped to the second place, giving the spot to Rīga State Gymnasium no.2.
