Lynx hunting forbidden in Latvia

The Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) has been included in the list of specially protected species in Latvia, the government decided on April 12.

The government decided to remove the lynx from the list of 'Limited use specially protected species' and include it in the 'Specially protected species', meaning that hunting the animal is now forbidden.

27 mammals are on the specially protected species list of Latvia.
