Rēzekne municipality has changed the names of three streets in the parishes of Malta, Stružāni, and Vērēmi, the municipality said on its website January 26.

L. Samuilovas Street in Malta, named after the Communist activist Lidija Samuilova, has been renamed Dzelzceļa (Railway) Street.

Pionieru (Pioneers') Street in Strūžāni has been renamed Ezera (Lake) Street, whereas the Soviet politician-honoring J. Zvīdra Street in Vērēmi parish is now Centra (Center) Street.

All addresses on those streets have been adapted accordingly, said the Rēzekne municipality.
