Of 10,285 newly-confirmed cases, 3,688 cases were recorded in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people, while 6,597 were fully vaccinated.
Out of 23,648 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 43.5 % were positive. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 of the population hit another all-time high, rising very slightly from 7,112 Thursday to 7,120 Friday, which is likely to prompt hopes that the current infection spike may be close to its peak. Since the beginning of the pandemic 567,176 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.
