Of 11,425 newly-confirmed cases, 4,206 cases were recorded in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people, while 7,219 were fully vaccinated.
Out of 24,550 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 46.5% were positive. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 of the population hit another all-time high, rising from 6,976 Tuesday to 7,019 Wednesday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic 545,296 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.
Unfortunately, 20 more Covid-related deaths were also confirmed. The youngest of the victims was aged 40-49 years. Eight of the dead were fully vaccinated. The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 5,061.
Wednesday hospital data from the National Health Service show exactly 1,200 patients being treated in hospitals (up on 1,197 on Tuesday). 154 patients were admitted and 160 discharged during the previous 24 hours. 70 patients were displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
