Of the newly-confirmed cases, 1,204 cases were recorded in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people, while 2,630 were fully vaccinated.
Out of 8,574 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 44.9% were positive. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 of the population declined from 3,988 Friday to 3,781 Saturday. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 769,131 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.

Thirteen Covid-related deaths were also confirmed. One of the victims was aged 30-39 years while the other deaths were all in persons aged over 60 years. Five were fully vaccinated. The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 5,492.
Friday hospital data from the National Health Service show 1,019 patients being treated in hospitals (up on 1,013 Thursday). 147 patients were admitted and 114 were discharged during the previous 24 hours. 34 patients are displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
