Of 12,766 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 14.4% were positive. The 14-day cumulative morbidity rate per 100,000 population climbed from 573.8 Tuesday to 631.3 Wednesday.
Thirteen more Covid-related deaths were also confirmed. The youngest of the victims was in the 40-49 years age bracket and two were fully vaccinated. The total death toll since the start of the pandemic now stands at 4,613.

Wednesday data from the National Health Service show 557 patients being treated in hospital (down from 566 on Tuesday) with 69 patients admitted and 63 discharged during the last 24 hours. 75 patients are displaying serious symptoms.
In the other Baltic states, Estonia currently has 231 hospitalized patients while in Lithuania there were over 1,000 hospitalized patients with nearly 3,000 new Covid-19 cases confirmed during the last 24 hours.
