Of 11,691 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 13.9% were positive. The 14-day cumulative morbidity rate per 100,000 population climbed from 540.2 Monday to 573.8 Tuesday.
Six more Covid-related deaths were also confirmed. All of the fatalities were aged over 60 years and two were fully vaccinated. The total death toll since the start of the pandemic now stands at 4,600.

Tuesday data from the National Health Service show 566 patients being treated in hospital (up from 561 on Monday) with 84 patients admitted and 69 discharged during the last 24 hours. 76 patients are displaying serious symptoms.
