Of 11,105 newly-confirmed cases, 4,179 cases were recorded in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people, while 6,926 were fully vaccinated.
Out of 24,001 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 46.3% were positive. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 of the population hit another all-time high, rising from 6,866 Monday to 6,976 Tuesday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic 533,871 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.
Unfortunately, 12 more Covid-related deaths were also confirmed. The youngest of the victims was aged just 30-39 years. Two of the dead were fully vaccinated. The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 5,041.
Monday hospital data from the National Health Service show 1,222 patients being treated in hospitals (up on 1,145 on Sunday). 136 patients were admitted and 44 discharged during the previous 24 hours. 77 patients were displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
Latvia is also part of the European Union's wider Covid-19 certification scheme. All arrivals to the country (including returnees) need to fill in an electronic declaration prior to coming to Latvia. It is available at the website covidpass.lv.
