English-language vaccination page has so far failed to load

Take note – story published 3 years and 4 months ago

Despite assurances in mid-February that an English-language version of the 'manavakcina.lv' vaccination registration website would be ready "within two weeks", it has yet to launch.

As previously reported by LSM, on February 5 the Latvian-language version of the website went live, and was followed by a Russian-language website on February 18.

However, despite assurances on February 13 that an English-language equivalent would be available "within two weeks, definitely" it still is not live.

In an effort to provide an answer to readers who have asked what's going on, LSM made repeated attempts to get an update from the Vaccination project bureau, which is in charge of the project, on March 17 and 18 via telephone and email but we have yet to receive a reply.

It is possible that the bureau's own communication and plans for the English-language site have been disrupted by the anouncement of an internal shake-up announced earlier this week. If and when we succeed in getting an update, we'll let you know.
