Of 2,862 tests carried out over the past 24 hours, 24% were positive, resulting in 685 confirmed new cases of infection. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 population continued its steady climb from 287 Tuesday to 302 Wednesday. It has taken one week for this indicator to rise from 200 to 300.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 838,557 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.

Tuesday hospital data from the National Health Service (NVD) show 147 patients being treated in hospitals, 3 of whom are displaying serious symptoms.
