Among men, 65% think the worst part of the pandemic is behind, with 52% among women. Similar proportions of men and women thought it was not over – 19% and 20%. This year in January, 33% in both groups were inclined to think that the worst phase of Covid-19 was behind, 47% of men and 39% of women had the opposite opinion.
60% of Russian speakers tend to agree that the worst stage of Covid-19 is behind, compared to 57% of Latvian speakers.
According to the analysis of age data, older people are more pessimistic - 50% of the population aged 55-74 tend to think that the worst phase of the pandemic is past, while in other age groups this rate ranges from 57% to 62%.
The survey was conducted in collaboration with the Internet research company Gemius, with the participation of 1,718 respondents from May 10 to 12 2022.
