Of 2,988 tests carried out over the past day, 12.9% were positive, resulting in 388 confirmed new cases of infection. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 population fell from 305 Thursday to 299 Friday, the lowest level since July 5, 2022.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 956,780 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.
The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 6,076.
Thursday hospital data from the National Health Service (NVD) show 240 patients being treated in hospitals, two of whom are displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
