Major vaccination centers to reopen this week in Latvia

Big vaccination centers will gradually reopen this week, Eva Juhņēviča, head of the National Health Service's Vaccination Project Department, told Latvian Television on December 27.

Juhņēviča said there would be two centers in Riga, 20 in other municipalities, and there would still be pop-up vaccination points.

“As from 28 December, the vaccination center in Ķīpsala will be restored, while the “ATTA center” will be open as of 30 December. As far as other cities are concerned, we still have a number of centers in municipal areas. They will continue to operate. We are still working on opening up additional vaccination centers in municipalities. Very much like it was in the spring, we have planned up to 25 municipal [vaccination] centers,” Eva Juhņēviča said.
