Of 4,094 tests carried out, 7.7% were positive. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate fell from 304 Thursday to 280 Friday.

Of the nine deaths, all were in people aged 50 years or over and two of the victims were fully vaccinated.
The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 5,789.
Thursday hospital data from the National Health Service (NVD) show 259 patients being treated in hospitals. Nine patients are displaying serious Covid symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
