Of 2,465 tests carried out over the past 24 hours, 24.1% were positive, resulting in 595 confirmed new cases of infection. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 population continued its steady climb from 316 Thursday to 340 Friday.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 839,846 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.

Thursday hospital data from the National Health Service (NVD) show 133 patients being treated in hospitals, 2 of whom are displaying serious symptoms.
