Latvia has recorded record-high numbers all week, the peak hit on Wednesday.
Of the 10,137 cases, 4,108 were recorded in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people, while 6,029 were fully vaccinated.
Of 26,767 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 37.9% were positive, a figure consistent with recent days. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 of population continued its own week of record highs, climbing from 5,451 Thursday to 5,671 Friday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic 432,370 Covid-19 cases have been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.
Sadly, 11 more Covid-related deaths were also confirmed on February 3. The youngest of the victims was aged 60 to 69 years. Four of the dead were fully vaccinated. The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 4,934.
Friday data from the National Health Service show 983 patients being treated in hospital (up from 929 Thursday), of whom 526 have the primary diagnosis Covid-19. 148 patients were admitted and 88 discharged during the last 24 hours. 76 patients are displaying serious symptoms.

In the other Baltic states, Estonia recorded over 8,000 cases during the last 24 hours while Lithuania had over 12,000 cases for the third day in a row.

Latvia is also part of the European Union's wider Covid-19 certification scheme. All arrivals to the country (including returnees) need to fill in an electronic declaration prior to coming to Latvia. It is available at the website covidpass.lv.
