Priority groups will get Pfizer vaccines this weekend

Take note – story published 2 years ago

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, six large-scale vaccination centers will provide Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines to priority groups, Ministry of Health said April 23.

So far, mass vaccination centers only worked with the AstraZeneca vaccine. The population of priority groups should choose in advance the time and center through the manavakcina.lv site.

The following are invited to apply for vaccination:

  • people 60 years old and over
  • people with chronic illness;
  • persons living in a single household with severely ill children/children with immunosuppression;
  • carers of severely ill persons;
  • employees of educational establishments;
  • staff of first response services/staff required for the continued operation of the State if the employer has already submitted information on the person in the single vaccination network “ViVaT”.

Persons can make sure that they belong to the priority group by opening the “manavakcina.lv” site, where the system compiles data from the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (PMLP) database, disease registries, lists of reimbursable medicines, as well as lists of professions submitted by sectoral ministries. If the priority group is open, no additional documents or statements are required. A person can register for a vaccine for themselves at a convenient large-scale vaccination center available over the weekend.
