Of the newly-confirmed cases, 1,910 cases were recorded in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people, while 4,340 were fully vaccinated.
Out of 13,587 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 46% were positive. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 of the population declined from 4,823 Monday to 4,650.2 Tuesday. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 750,683 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.

Six Covid-related deaths were also confirmed. The youngest victim was aged 30-39, another was aged 40-49, and the four others were aged over 60. Four were unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated. The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 5,435.
Monday hospital data from the National Health Service show 1,127 patients being treated in hospitals (up on 1,048 Sunday). 116 patients were admitted and 21 were discharged during the previous 24 hours. 41 patients are displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
