Of the newly-confirmed cases, 1,278 cases were recorded in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people, while 2,945 were fully vaccinated.
Out of 10,054 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 42.0% were positive. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 of the population declined from 4,170.5 Thursday to 3988.1 Friday. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 765,297 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.

Ten Covid-related deaths were also confirmed. All of the victims were aged over 60 years. Three were fully vaccinated. The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 5,479.
Thursday hospital data from the National Health Service show 1,013 patients being treated in hospitals (down on 1,057 Wednesday). 131 patients were admitted and 138 were discharged during the previous 24 hours. 36 patients are displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
