Of the newly-confirmed cases, 1,058 cases were recorded in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people, while 2,572 were fully vaccinated.
Out of 10,062 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 36.1% were positive. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 of the population declined further from 3,429 Tuesday to 3,223 Wednesday. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 780,831 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.

Sadly 13 more Covid-related deaths were also confirmed. The youngest of the victims was aged 40-49, and the others were 60 and older. Three were fully vaccinated. The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic now stands at 5,523.
Wednesday hospital data from the National Health Service show 953 patients being treated in hospitals (down on 1,007 Sunday). 147 patients were admitted and 8 were discharged during the previous 24 hours. 29 patients are displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
