Of the newly-confirmed cases, 234 cases were recorded in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people, while 704 were fully vaccinated.
Out of 5,491 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 17.1% were positive. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 of the population continued to decline from 920 Monday to 817 Tuesday.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 809,917 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.

Three more Covid-related deaths were also confirmed, all of the people aged over 70 years. The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic now stands at 5,672.
Monday hospital data from the National Health Service show 605 patients being treated in hospitals. 56 patients were admitted and 14 were discharged during the previous 24 hours. 22 patients are displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
