Of the newly-confirmed cases, 1,002 cases were recorded in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people, while 2,322 were fully vaccinated.
Out of 9,175 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 36.2% were positive. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 of the population declined further from 3,223 Wednesday to 3025.9 Thursday. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 784,155 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.

Sadly 21 more Covid-related deaths were also confirmed. All victims were aged 50 and over, and seven were fully vaccinated. The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic now stands at 5,544.
Thursday hospital data from the National Health Service show 961 patients being treated in hospitals. 124 patients were admitted and 96 were discharged during the previous 24 hours. 32 patients are displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
