Vaccination against Covid-19 continued to decrease in Latvia last week, with 10% fewer people being vaccinated than in the previous week, LETA reported September 6.

In total, 31,146 people received the vaccine against Covid-19 last week (a week earlier 34 915 people). This is the lowest rate yet, as even in the Midsummer week, 31,873 people got the jab. However, the data can still change, as not all medics have entered data in the joint system.

On Sunday, a total of 696 people were vaccinated against Covid-19, of which 359 received the first dose of the vaccine, 332 the second, and five were vaccinated with a vaccine produced by a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson (J & J) that needed only one dose.

On Sunday, seven medical institutions have participated in vaccination against Covid-19 in Latvia. The most active drivers were medics from the Health Center 4 and the Association of Health Centers, with 289 and 263 patients, respectively.

870,185 people have begun the vaccination process in Latvia, of whom 773,804 have concluded the vaccination process. Thus 46.10% of the population have received the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19, while 40.99% of the population have completed the cycle.
