This first seminar of a series of three seminars is dedicated to regional reform, local elections and opportunities for the diaspora to register a second address in Latvia.
The seminar takes place on March 24, 2021 at 15.00 (Latvian time, GMT +2).
Raivis Bremšmits, Director of the State Sustainable Development Planning Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development, Diāna Orlovska, Head of the Territorial Development Evaluation Division, Dace Ziediņa, Head of the Regional Support Instruments Division, and Varis Putniņš, Senior Expert, will speak about regional reform in Latvia and answer questions .
The opportunity to participate in local elections will be outlined the Central Election Commission chairwoman Kristīne Bērziņa and the Foreign Ministry Consular Department Director Guna Japiņa.
Specialists rom the Ministry of the Interior - Deputy Director of the Sector Policy Department Imants Zaķis and senior rapporteur Sandis Barks - will inform the audience about the possibility to register and official address in Latvia in addition to an address of residence abroad .
