Fire at Dobele miller production plant on Sunday

On Sunday in Dobele, the production building of AS “Dobele Miller” (Dobeles dzirnavnieks) was burning on several floors, according to information held by LETA.

The State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD) told LETA that at 7:08 on July 16 VUGD received a call to Spodrības Street in Dobele, where a fire had broken out in a production building.

On arrival at the scene, rescuers found that the seven-story building had developed a fire on several floors. 

The spread of the flames was contained at 12:48.

Around 17:00  fire was extinguished.

The company “Dobeles Miller” was registered in 1991 and has a core capital of EUR 3,897 million, according to information from Firmas.lv. The company's largest shareholder is Estonian grain producer Tartu Mill. The company's main lines of action are the production of all kinds of wheat flour, flour blends, pasta, cereal flakes, groats and animal feed.
