High Five charity marathon raises EUR 451,189 for youth at risk in Latvia

The public media charity marathon 'Dod pieci'  (High Five!) has come to an end Thursday, December 21.

This year, the marathon raised EUR 451,189 which will be channeled towards youth at risk in Latvia.

For comparison, last year the campaign raised EUR 804,384 for Ukrainian children in Latvia, the year before it raised EUR 470,078 for environmental accessibility to people with functional impairments and disabilities, whereas in 2020 EUR 402,065 was raised for palliative care.

As previously reported, Dod Pieci ran December 15 to 21 and involved DJ Toms Grēviņš broadcasting from a glass box in historic Doma Square in the center of Riga. Members of the public could request songs to be played by pledging 5 euros.

You can still donate on Ziedot.lv until January 6 and at Circle K fueling stations until December 31.
