No hot water for half of Rīga on August 3

On Thursday, August 3, a hydraulic safety test will be carried out in Rīga on the right bank of Daugava, during which the inhabitants of those neighborhoods will not have hot water, JSC Rīgas Siltums reported.

The tests will be carried out to prepare timely for the heating season and to identify potential damage sites in the heat nets.

Hot water will not be available in the districts of Vecrīga (Old Town), Center, Ķengarags, Dārzciems, Dreiliņi, Pļavnieki, Purvciems, Mežciems, Teika, Jugla, Čiekurkalns, Sarkandaugava, Mežaparks, Grīziņkalns, Brasa, Maskavas forštate, Avoti, Rumbula, Šķirotava, Skanste, Zaķusala, and Pētersala-Andrejsala.

Hydraulic testing is carried out within one day. The hot water will be restored on the same evening.

In areas where damage to heat nets will be detected, hot water supply interruptions are possible until the damage is rectified.

If residents observe the leakage of greenish-colored water during hydraulic testing, call Rīgas Siltums at 80000090.
