Take note – story published 4 years ago

airBaltic Training has ordered additional three single-engine DA40 NG training aircraft from Diamond Aircraft for the airline’s Pilot Academy.

The additional aircraft will be delivered in 2020.

Currently airBaltic Pilot Academy has seven training aircraft – six Diamond DA40 NG and one Diamond DA42-VI.

“This additional order for Diamond Aircraft supports the continued growth of our training capabilities. In addition, we are now certified by The Latvian Civil Aviation Agency to do Diamond aircraft maintenance on our own,” said airBaltic rep Pauls Cālītis.

The Diamond DA40 Star is an four-seat, single-engine, light aircraft that's built in both Austria and Canada.

The 2013 price for the DA40 is listed at $420,000.
