Foreign students say grave culture and fireworks unique in Latvia

Foreign students learning here stress the friendly locals, fireworks, the light festival and grave culture as characteristic of Latvia, according to a survey by the Turība University, reported Latvian Television Thursday.

Agita Doniņa, dean of the university, told Latvian Television that both locals and foreign students participated in the survey. They would stress nature, culture and traditions as important to Latvia, while many foreign students also said they'd want to obtain traditional Latvian folk costumes.

While locals thought that women, beer and fast internet as Latvia's strong sides.
